RED WOLF TRACKING
Duties - the volunteer will be involved in becoming familiar with red wolf habits and identification, care and use of the electronic wolf tracking equipment, driving a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
Hours Required - varied, this will depend on the number of wolves presently on the island and how difficult it becomes to locate each of the wolves. On average, five hours are required per day. This figure does not include travel to and from the island.
Skills Required - the volunteer must be willing to learn the policies and procedures required for this activity and be able to travel on the interior of the island. Some walking is required.
Training - will be provided by Refuge staff and experienced wolf-tracking personnel.
